Our office is now based at 6 Harmony Row, Govan. The epicentre of the charity, Starter Packs HQ is a constant hive of activity. This is where we run our admin and build the packs we send out to our clients. We take all our orders for starter packs here and make up each pack from the donations we receive , as well as items we have to purchase new. We also arrange and co-ordinate collections and deliveries of furniture. We do not have a storage area so cannot take a large quantity of furniture, so any enquiry is treated on a case by case basis. All donations for us should be taken to our shop, The Magpie's Nest at 25 Burleigh Street, where they are sorted and items for packs come here, items for the shops go to the right shop.
The list of stuff we can make use of is almost endless. If we cannot use a donated item for a pack we would sell it in one of our shops in order to generate funds. Ironing boards, coffee tables, folding chairs, ornaments, vintage tea sets, paintings, photo frames, lamps, TVs, stereos, desks etc. Anything you can think of that you have in your home, we could more than likely take as a donation. If you aren't sure just give us a call and one of the admin team will be more than happy to help you.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. Donations can be accepted during these hours, and any collection will be carried out within these times. Please note that our diary can be busy, and there may be a wait of around a week for an available collection slot.
